Hi Experts,
I have a very basic requirement. I want users to be able to run BEx reports from the portal for all the roles they have been assigned to. To achieve this, I created a new folder under Content Administration -> Portal Content -><My Folder>->New->Role-> Role from Back-end. While doing so, I also imported the user mappings. So far so good and the user is able to see new tabs on the top navigation menu for all the roles which were imported and they are also assigned to. The list of reports can be seen in the detailed navigation section.
But the problem comes when I create a new user in SAP BW and assign him an existing role. I was expecting that the role information and user mapping is synchronized between the two systems but it isn't the case. It seems that I need to import the role once again along with its mapping if I want the newly created user to be able to see the portal content.
So can you please guide if there is a better approach for publishing SAP BW reports under a role on the portal. I want that whenever a user is assigned a role in SAP BW, he automatically can access the reports under that role without any further manual effort.Can I schedule some sort of job to synchronize the user roles & mapping between SAP BW and the portal ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
I guess we are using ABAP data source for roles.
