Hello,
If we set the lot size in the raw material master data , what is the impact to the MRP?
Each MRP Run (be it single-item multilevel or total planning) is conceptually a collection of single-item single-level planning runs, and Lot sizing comes into picture at the stage of procurement quantity calculation as shown in the image below:

So for each material, the procurement quantities are calculated based on the lot size setting of that material.
Weekly and Monthly are two periodic lot sizes. A general image for periodic lot size is given below:

green arrow = receipt quantity, black arrow = requirement.
For weekly lot size -> Period 1 = Period 2 = Period 3 = calendar week.
For monthly lot size -> Period 1 = Period 2 = Period 3 = calendar month.
You can find more about periodic lot size in the online SAP help documentation.
But keep the following scenario in mind, if you have monthly lot size for the FG, and an EX or TB lot size for the RM below it, the quantities planned for RM will also be monthly since the dependent requirements from the FG is passed monthly only.
Revert back if you have any query after reading the online help documentation available on periodic lot sizing.
Best Regards,
Rajen
