Hi,
Formatted search query can only be triggered by changes on 1 field. so if you need to refresh based on changes of ItemCode and WhsCode, this is not achievable from FS.
You will need an Add on to refresh this UDF.
For the showing error and blocking of the production order, you can use SP Transaction Notification.
