Hi Jayshree,

You can refer the planning view favorite New Product Transition which represents PLM status EOL for a product and NPI  for the new Product and Phase out of old product with Phase In of new Product.

You can add to this view the dates example Release Date, EOL Date. The forecast should be set to zero for the discontinued product beyond the EOL Date.
